Ok ladies I know a lot of you posted that you wanted to read more to your LOs so...any progress?
I've made some progress on the resolutions., we're eating more meals at the table but I am still letting Simon run around the house while he eats, especially breakfast, so I really need to work on that more. But I signed my fat ass up for a race in May and bought new bigger Asics for my post-pregnancy feet and have been running a little but not enough so here's to a better February..!
Yeah, I know, damn me for starting this thread!
Re: End of month New Year's Resolution check-in!
Darn you - thanks for making me accountable for my resolutions.
BR resolution for S - yes, am reading to her a bit more. Need to increase that to daily, but I'm feeling good about where we are on this right now.
BR resolution for T - nope, am doing doing so well on this one. Need to start calling him more.
NBR resolution for me - I was getting better about letting things go/not stressing so much up until this weekend. My circular thought processes have started up again, so obviously I need to work on this some more. I think I'm just a little bit overwhelmed, so it is causing me to reverse back.
Off to work on all three some more.....
I can't remember mine so that tells you how well I am doing with it.
I am reading more to Michael. Not every night though.
LOL... You are da' debil, woman!
I was wondering if we were gonna do a check-in. This is great, so glad you posted.
BR: Mine was to set aside a time to work w/Maddie on colors/shapes/letters etc. I have been working with her, but using her toys and puzzles with more directed play. I haven't found workbooks for her, but am still planning on doing that. I have found that she matches color and shape and knows 2 letters (hehehe). She knows 'M" and "O". She says and signs "black" (from blackberry) but I don't think she realizes it's a color
.
NBR: I joined WW..... again..... But I love the new program. I am all about the fruits and those are now "zero points". I have lost 10 pounds and I weigh in for week 3 this Saturday. I have a little mini- goal to lose 10 pounds by Valentine's Day (set the goal after the first 5.6 pounds) so I have 5.6 more pounds to lose by 2/14. I am waiting until I lose a little more before I pick up running again. My knees thank me for that.
Yeah, that part sucks, I have no cartilege left in one of my knees! What about the treadmill or trails? Easier on the knees than pavement, although I'm guessing all your trails are buried in snow too!
LOL - you ARE the devil! I do have a treadmill, so I guess I have no excuse. I despise the thing, but that is a personal issue/problem, not an excuse. I used to run in out mountains around here, but they are definately out of commission for a while. Plus, somethings should not be witnessed by other people, my post baby tummy jiggling down the road is one fo those things.. You are welcome, World, you are welcome.
Hahaha! That's what men's workout t-shirts are for! That reminds me that a friend of mine is at the Biggest Loser Resort (fat camp) in Malibu this week, she's trying to jump-start her training for the Death Ride. Every morning they go running in the Malibu hills...I can just picture those hills a bouncin! It actually does sound fun but I didn't have $2,600 and couldn't leave Simon with my DH for a week anyway...
BR (to be more patient) - I should have put "reading more" instead, b/c I am reading more to Jason, in both Russian and English.
NBR (to lose weight and get back in shape) - Not working. Maybe after I am done with EPing.
I am still taking it easy on myself, yesssss.
This awful house is not my fault. Margaux' heart is not my fault. I'm doing my best, and pushing to do more would be unhealthy. Go, me!
I can't totally remember what mine were, but I did yoga twice and rode the stationary bike once. That's something, isn't it.
