Postpartum Depression

Heavy head - PPA?

I posted a couple days ago about foggy brained, lethargic, etc. but otherwise not feeling "typical" depression/anxiety symptoms.

I've had a hard time describing the way I feel and it finally came to me - my head is heavy. I'm tired when I shouldn't be. When I'm at work, I have to rest my head on my chair back or put my hand under my chin.

I know Dr. Google is a strange bird, but just putting in 'heavy head"  on a whim a ton of hits came back saying it's related to anxiety.

For those with PPA, did you experience this 'heavy head' feeling?

  • If you feel unsure, but know something doesn't feel 'right, then you should contact your doctor.

I see my MW in a couple days and will discuss it with her - though may end up going to my GP - it's just driving me nuts.

Glad to hear your seeing your OB soon and I will also say my GP was WAY more informed than my midwife so atleast you know you have that to turn to. I suffered PPA and I can relate to the heavy head feeling a bit because basically no body just felt numb but I hope you feel better soon
