D&C is over with

Yesterday I had my D&C. Mom came came in town Monday night and is staying until Aaron gets home from work today. I'm a little sore but don't think this will last long. The doctor gave me off the rest of the week, which I don't think I need but I think I'll take it. I just got back from Vacation a couple weeks ago and already off another week, seems ridiculous but I'll take it. My sister is up watching my brother's kids in Spokane, WA still so they could fly down for Alex's funeral and is begging me to come up for a long weekend. I'm looking into it. I'm not an emotional wreck today like I thought I'd be. Maybe it's because I found out 4 weeks ago today that this pregnancy wasn't going to be viable. Who knows. Anyway, thanks for all your thoughts and support. The doctor said we could try again in 2 months. I have a f/u appointment scheduled for 2 weeks with her. Oh, I ended up sticking with my current OBGYN that I've had the past 2 years. I was thinking about switching but she handled this whole thing pretty well so I think I'm going to permanently stay with her.

Thanks for updating, you've been in my thoughts. I wish I could take off the rest of the week myself so that's good that you're doing that. But I know what you mean about thinking you were going to be a wreck. It happened over the weekend for me (w the help of drugs) and once it did, I was kind of numb. Before taking the drugs I think it was worse. It's hit me, hard, spontaneously since then, but I think I got closure which helped a lot. And trying to get back into a normal routine has helped too. Lots of hugs to you and let me know if you want to talk or vent or anything.

Hugs to you... I had mine 6 wks ago today Sad

The dr may or may not have shared but you might expect sporatic spotting for several weeks. It was really annoying but when my cycle returned last week everything seems to be better.

Lots of hugs to you. I definitely had lots of ups and downs after my mc, so I'm glad you are getting some time off for yourself. Don't feel bad about taking the time that you need.
