it's still in the peel, can i leave it out or will it have to be refrigerated since it's partially 'open'? i thought bad things happened to bananas in the fridge so wasn't sure..
also - can you freeze banana without it getting gross?
You can just let it sit out. Cut off the end tomorrow when you eat it. And in the fridge it'll slow it from getting sweeter but the peel turns brown. In the freezer it stops it from getting sweeter. If you slice it up and freeze it, it's as good as ice cream on a really hot day if you give it a minute or two to barely soften up.
I always let them sit out on the counter. Only the first bite will be weird or you can cut it off. If you put it in the freezer you can do certain things with it, blend it into smoothies, bake with it, etc, but as far as just eating it, I think it's kind of yucky.
