I just got an email from my niece.  Not the 13 yr old one.  Not even the 5 yr old one.  No, a 5 month old one. 

It had this message:

Just wanted all of my family to know that I have my own email address (that is forwarded to Mommy's phone). Since I am a big girl now, please feel free to address all corespondence to this account.
Thank you,
Love [Niece's Name]

Yes, I'm totally going to email an infant that not only can't read yet, she can't even talk.  ::head desk::

Yeah, needless to say I won't be responding to the infant via email.  My first thought when I read that was "Somebody needs to get out more", lol. 

Not sure when SIL went BSC.  I get being excited to have a take home baby (niece is an IVF success story), but uh, yeah.

How do you even think of doing something like that?  Also, most moms I know don't want their kids to grow up so fast, but she seems to be accelerating the process.  I wonder if her DH has seen the email yet and what he thinks.

That's just annoying... That's something you send to your parents... they may actually think it's cute.  You don't send it to everyone.  Weird.

We get full out letters from our 5 month old nephew in the mail. I don't get it. It's not like a birthday card where they sign his name, it's a long letter.

Email for a 5 month old is just as special.

Her H probably knows about it by now (someone asked if her husband knew), his parents were on the list to get the email.

One of my "squeee....I'm preggo!?!?!?!" friends actually has one for her daughter (if the sonogram was correct...yep, not even out of the womb and her baby has a facebook!) and it's really annoying. 

I don't get the letter or what my SIL does.  If she's looking for a present and her baby touches it she exclaims, "(infant here) thought you would like this?!"  Um, really...he's not even four months yet!

 EDIT: Bump thought I was done with my post when I wasn't!

UPDATE:  While checking my facebook on my phone during my lunch break she closed it down.  Her status reads, "Clearly someone is waaayyyyy to bitter and can't be happy for somnes' happyness!"

Wha? The facebook page for dogs/babies is bad enough but at least it makes sense as a place to showcase photos and stuff...that is just completely insane. What are you going to email a 5 month old?

I'm so glad I was in a happy place this morning when I opened that...probably wouldn't have gone over so well if it had been a different point in my cycle.  I'm curious what her sister is thinking of the message. DH is the one that opened the message first this morning, and I know he was kind of about it...especially when I told him this was for one of our ~5 month old nieces (we've had 4 nieces/nephews born in the last 13 months). 

I'm kind of wondering if this is the email we'll get pics of the kid from.  Pics have been (thankfully) sparse up to this point.
