Quad screen timing ?

I just had an appt today and it was a week too early to do the quad screen (the last blood test that is combined with my NT scan and previous blood work).  My next appt is at 17w6d and the nurse said I could do it then.  However, if it did come back "weird," would I have time to do an amnio?  It would be too late, right?  

So, should I just go in for the blood work next week?  Or since everything else looked perfectly fine, would you just wait?

When I was in for my 15 week appt. they also said it was too early for the blood test. I made a separate appt. last week (16 weeks) and had them draw the blood then. I say it depends on how far you live from the doctor... if it's close, might as well do it next week.

I don't think it's ever "too late" for an amnio. It's a genetic test on the baby's genes, and those aren't going to change!

All i know is i wont be exactly 16 weeks when i have mine which is today.  But i guess im close enough to 16 weeks.

I asked the same ? because I had my dr. apt yesterday as well... I'll be having my Quad screen at 16w. and wont get the results until 19w. and my OB said that you can do an amnio up until 24wks...I always heard it was 16w. too!

Im also having my quad screen results added to my nt scan & bloodwork.

Im having mine done at 16 weeks. The Dr scheduled the appointment for 16 weeks on purpose. Id call your Dr & ask.

My OB said 24 weeks for the follow up amnio but they can do an amnio at any time. They did one on my SIL 2 days before my nephew was born.
