If there was a legitimate WAH job that you could do in your spare time (LOL... no seriously)... what would you want to do? What would you enjoy doing for some extra cash on a part time basis- without requiring childcare (or maybe it could require it)...
And if there was such an option- (to do something you enjoyed- but did require your attention/time not focused on children) would you do it?
Skies the limit peeps- think out of the box and go wild.

Now THAT is out of the box! Love it.
I am going to really go out of the box and include my favorite Philly athletes too. So on any given day, I could have Desean Jackson and Camille Grammer in the living room, while Charlie is running around dropping pearls of wisdom like "poopers come out of your bottom, mommy" (which he actually said today)

I would love something in the online writing vein or party planning.
Chocolate companies can send me their goodies for taste testing and I will provide consumer feedback.
I would also need to test treadmills and stairmasters before long.
I wish people would pay me for:
Writing
Giving my opinion on anything
Crafting random junk for as long as it would hold my attention
Playing with my kid all day
In all honesty, though, I really do wish that I could get a job as an editor. I love reading things and finding the mistakes and fixing them, so that the piece looks and sounds professional. My little nerdy heart would just explode with happiness if someone would pay me to be a Grammar Nazi. <sigh>
Inventor, but I would not want to have to go through the expensive and daunting patenting process or pay for all of my experiments. So I would need unlimited funding and a lab. Give me time and money, and I will solve lots of problems.
Healer would be my other choice. I'd love to get to paid to meditate and think healing thoughts towards people, the earth, and the universe.
My current work situation is pretty ideal. I appraise household items for insurance claims part time after my DD and DH go to bed at night. A lot of it is fairly routine so I can sit on the couch and catch up on mindless tv shows (like cooking shows or HGTV, nothing with a complicated plot) while I work. Although in my dream world it would pay really well, not just the pocket change I currently earn.
The work is also sporadic, so some weeks I hardly earn any money at all. Since our household doesn't rely on my income to pay bills, I enjoy the time off I get when work is slow, but I can imagine it would be stressful if someone was expecting to get a paycheck at a certain level each month.
P.S. Lest you think I'm cheating my company by watching tv while working, I'm an independent contractor and I get paid by the number of items appraised, not by the hour. As long as my work quality is ok (and it is) I can work however I wish.
My husband's cousin did this!! She started baking cupcakes, and I'm not sure how/why (I don't know if people egged her on and told her how good they were, etc), but she started to bring them to local restaurants and some of them commissioned her to bake them for their dessert menu, AND she caters parties--she seems to get tons of business, the cupcakes are SOOOOO good and look amazing--perfect for party desserts or favors, and she gets most of the work done when the kids are asleep (she has twins!).
As for me? I don't know-I have LOTS of ideas...definitely not exceedingly creative- sometimes I'd love to work for my old company (I worked in HR), because I miss them, and sometimes I really think I'd love to be a travel agent. I love travel (although I've never been anywhere interesting because my DH's idea of vacation is to lay in a slug like fashion on the beach for 7 days straight), and I love doing research for travel (strange I know).
Here's my one possibly "out of the box" idea--I've legitimately thought about someday starting my own destination wedding business. I had one (in the DR), and I loved planning it--lots of people said I should look into it because they thought it came together so nicely (I also love party planning in general, lots of people commented on the little details of DD's first birthday party). In my mind I would probably tier the cost based on the level of service I'd be providing (ie would I just be booking the travel and making sure the wedding date is open? Would I have to be on site to coordinate with their on site wedding person? etc). There's a lot more but this is already a novel
