How do you know when to go up to the next size? We've been using size 1 nipples, but I think they're ready to move up to size 2. DD makes a funny clicking sound now and I think it may be that she's ready for a faster flow. We use Dr. Browns and I believe it said around 3 months - mine are 1.5 months adjusted. Should I just try it and see what happens or wait longer?

Re: Nipple sizes (bottle feeding)
First your babies are frickin adorable!!!
At their age I switched to a med flow with my DD and at first she did good then she started drowning herself lol...so i switched back. It won't hurt to try. I think now that she is older i may try again. GL!!
Our babies were on Preemie nipples until 7 months (DS) and 9 months (DD). We knew they were ready to go up a size (to size 1s) when they started routinely filling the stem of the Dr. Brown's bottles while they were eating (from sucking too hard).
We tried moving them to size 1s before they were ready, and they both got overwhelmed and choked, so it was pretty obvious they weren't ready. We just switched back when that happened and tried again later.
IUI #3 gave us the best 2nd anniv. gift ever: 2 babies! (born 03/09/10)
Peanut and Little Man are getting so big! 2 years old already!

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
We also moved to level 2 around one month. We should have done it sooner b/c it was taking DD almost 45 minutes to finish a 4 oz bottle. Changing size made a huge difference. We changed to level 3 at 4 months.
