I think we finally settled on a girl's name, DH fell in love with the name Madison almost instantly, and I really like the name Avery. So we agreed on Madison Avery, but now thinking about it I kind of like the sound of Avery Madison..
So my question is: Madison Avery or Avery Madison?

I guess I'm in the minority, but I actually think Madison Avery flows better. And I know at least as many Averys as Madisons in my area, so to me they are equally trendy.
If you do decide to go with Madison as the first name, her initials will be MA_. So you might want to make sure it doesn't spell something like MAD.
Avery Madison.
IMO, it also depends on your LN too.

I've got to agree. Emphasis on the "slightly."
I like Madison Avery. Very cute.
Avery Madison reminds me of that creepy dating website for married people, I think it's called Ashley Madison.
Well, both are masculine names turned trendy girl names which makes it tough to vote. I usually like a little more variety in a name structure...maybe a classical middle for a trendy first or a obscure first with a well-known middle, or even names that peaked during different decades/generations.
So I based it off of popularity. Madison is a #7 name and has been in the top ten for a while (since 1997). It was huge in the 90s in my state. Avery has the makings of a top ten name, but isn't there yet (#32 and rising). And since Madison means 'son of Maud' that tipped me in favor of Avery. Not much, but I guess it's something.
Avery Madison
