Has anyone had or trying to have a vbac with a uterine tear?
I had an emergncy section after two hours of pushing (and trying foreceps) due to decels and I guess position. Since he was so far in the birth canal they had a hard time getting him out and I was told my uterus had ripped and I would always have to have a section. It caused me to lose a ton of blood but thankfully I didn't need a transfusion and we both made it out healthy.
I haven't investigated further as to where the tear is etc.yet but I'd love to attempt a vbac in the future as my recovery was so awful. As far as I know, my incision is a bikini cut (the scar is but not sure of the internal cut since it happened so fast). I had all these questions for my OB but for my 6 week pp appointment she got called out for an emergency section! Curious if a tear is considered a no-go...
Re: Uterine Extension
Unfortunately I think you will have quite the hunt for a Dr who would take you on as a VBAC.
Once a uterine rupture, the chances of another are much higher.
I'm a huge VBAC advocate, but in your shoes, I would definitely balance the health of the baby, you with a VBAC and RCS.
I'm sorry that you had to go through that. I hope you have a better experience with your 2nd child. Hugs!
I have a friend who had the same thing happen during her c/s. She got mixed opinions on whether she could try a VBAC or not. She did find one OB who said she would work with her on VBAC. She is not pregnant again yet so I don't know what she will do but I think she's decided not to risk it and to have a RCS.
I think you definitely need to talk to your doctor and learn more about your specific situation.

Thanks ladies for your input. So a tear during a c-section delivery qualifies as a rupture? It didn't spontaneously tear but rather tore against the cut because they had a hard time getting him out. At least this is how my doctor explained it right after the proceedure.
I know I need more answers from my OB. I wish I would emotionally heal from this experience as I have from the physical. In time I guess.
Thanks again. I'll update when I have more/better answers.
You'll get there. You are only a few months out and it takes time. A LOT of us have been there and it gets better.
