Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

does this sound like a missed m/c?

This is a repost from first tri:

"We go for our second ultrasound tomorrow (actually I have to go by myself bc DD has RSV so DH has to stay home with her). At our first ultrasound we saw a 4w6d sack and no baby, from my LMP I should have been 6w3d.I know that is not a big deal but if you look up our conception date for the original due date it was Dec 10. (the last time we had sex in Dec was the 7th), after the dr adjusted the due date the conception date was Dec 20th. I got my BFP on Christmas eve so I know there is NO WAY that is right.

Anyway I know that measurements can be off but I am still really worried. 11 days seems like a little too off. On top of that my breasts are not the least bit sore like they were when I was pregnant with DD. I am not sick at all in the mornings, I'm not really "showing" any more now than I was a few weeks ago. (I know it is all bloat but I would be more comfortable if I had more of it now). So please say some prayers for me and my family if you think about it. Tomorrow is going to be a LONG day, especially since I have to go alone :(. "

I just want to know what I am up against so I that I can prepare myself. If you have had a missed mc, is this similar to your situation? Also can anyone tell me what my options would be if they don't find a hb tomorrow. TIA

  • It could be an anembryonic pregnancy/blighted ovum, or it could be normal variation of early pregnancy caused by a miriad of factors (late implantation, skill of ultrasound technician, shape of uterus etc). Honestly (and I know how excruciatingly difficult it is) you just have to wait it out. I hope you get good news tomorrow. Sometimes you just know in the core of your being what the outcome will be. I wish you the best. Think positive! GL

  • You just have to wait and see tomorrow. Please don't ask questions like that here because we only have bad experiences to share. GL sweetie. If the worst happens come back here. These ladies have been such a comfort for me. I really hope it all goes well!
  • For right now, you're pregnant.  Symptoms come and go, dates can be off.

Every single one of us has lost symptoms.  We've had to experience bad u/s and low numbers.  You wont find good outcomes here.

I wish you the best and hope you wont need this board for support!

Not neccesarily true, yes I have experienced loss but I have also experienced miracles. They wrote off my pregnancy with DS2 as likely unviable due to a bad initial ultrasound showing dates off by 2 weeks, small sac, and no fetal pole.We went back in a week later and he had grown 2 WEEKS and had a strong heartbeat.  It was a total miracle. There is no other way to describe it. I wish you the best. Miracles do happen. Even in spite of my circumstances, I still believe that in the core of my being.
