We might have a name...

So DH and I haven't been able to agree on a name. At our shower 2 weeks ago, he told someone that we'd definitely have a name picked out by 37 weeks. Yesterday we were talking and apparently he's been "thinking" a lot about a name. He really wants to give our kid a name with a lot of meaning, like possibly after a famous person, like Frederick Douglass. I don't like the name Fred, but I agreed with DH that naming after someone was a good approach. (BTW, he ruled out Martin Luther since it's "too much for a kid to live up to" but I couldn't go for Martin anyways. I will always think of it pronounced like the way Gina said it on the show Martin!)

It's so cute that he's been really thinking about names. Awww. Anyways, I thought of the name Gregory recently. Then I told him how the pope said Catholics should name their kids after saints or other biblical people (there was a bumpie post about this a week or two ago). I'm actually the Catholic one, but DH thought that sounded like a great idea and completely agreed with the pope. We looked up Gregory and he's the patron saint of teachers (me), students (DH currently), and artists and musicians. It seems almost too perfect! We haven't officially decided, but I think our baby boy *might* be named Gregory!

My mom had a student in class named Benjamin Franklin Some lastname.  ANd I just blanked on his brother's name.  BUt it was also a name from US history, and of the same era as Franklin.  (Might've been John Adams)
