Chef Mickey's or Cape May Cafe

we are taking our 4 yr old and then 10 mo to disney in May and want to do a character dining.

Which would you rec.? Also breakfast or dinner? My thoughts were breakfast because he'd still be fresh and excited

    We did Chef Mickey's for breakfast.  We absolutley loved it!

    We have done them both. They are a little different, I liked Cape May Cafe Better, I thought it was a little nicer ( The food was the same, I just liked the atmosphere). Though if you are staying at that hotel it can take awhile to get there. 

    Chef Mickey was good, They had more Characters and was really close to Magic Kingdom (we walked over) so no extra buses.

    If you are staying at the hotel with Cape May Cafe (caribbean Beach maybe?) then I would go there, otherwise Chef Mickey on a day for Breakfast when you are going to be at the Magic Kingdom.
