Temping question, possible TMI

 I have a condition called interstitial cystitis. It basicly feels like I have a bladder infection most of the time. I do have some pain meds that help but I still have to pee a lot. At night I usually wake up every 1.5 to 2hrs to go to the bathroom so sometimes its every 45min. The instructions that came with my basal thermometer said to take my temp after at least 4 hours of sleep. I don't think I've been able to sleep that long ever. If I temp when I first wake up even if I haven't been asleep will I be able to accurately chart?  I still haven't gotten AF yet but if possible I'd like to chart when she arrives.

Yes, you are supposed to have 4 hours of sleep. Do you get out of bed when you wake up? I sometimes wake up throughout the night, i just try to move as little as possible. I believe it ruins the temp the most when you are up walking around or awake for a long period of time. usually i am able to fall right back asleep so haven't had a problem with it..

... i mean you could at least try temping and see where it goes, but like i said TRY not to get outta bed when you wake up!

I wake up a lot at night also, I don't think I ever get a solid block of sleep like that.  I figure if it is consistent then it should be fine.  IMO anyway.  GL!

When I wake up it's because I feel like I have to pee really bad. There is no way I could go 4hrs without having to get up to go to the bathroom.

maybe just try temping.. at the same time every morning.. never hurts to try if you already have the BBT

First of all I just have to say I sam sorry about the condition. That sounds terrible. I Am so glad you asked this. Dh snores so bad at night that it wakes me up alot. I Never get four hours at a time. This is my first month temping and I am so paranoid its going to get my O date wrong or something. Hopefully my cm checking helps. I will keep you updated and let you know if its possible.
