Wheat Ridge mommies, I need some recommendations

We just relocated to Wheat Ridge and we're looking for recommendations for new...

Pediatrician,

OB/GYN,

Dentist,

Family Doctor,

MOPS group,

Hair Stylist,

Nail Salon,

and any other not-to-be-missed things in the area.  I'm not opposed to a little driving for an awesome OB or an amazing MOPS group, but I'd like to keep everything as accessible as possible.

Hello!

 I live in Arvada, which is WR's neighbor to the north. My OB is in Wheat Ridge- Dr McArthur Hill. He's right at the Exempla Lutheran hospital complex. He's a one-man office (he has a NP/PA and a few nurses), so you get very personalized care.  He's no-nonsense but also pretty calm, which I appreciate. I've had several friends who have used him and loved it!

I would advise AGAINST anyone at Westside Women's clinic- there are two of them (one office in WR, one in Arvada). I've had some horrible experiences with them and ended up switching practices right after my miscarriage in August.

I see a dentist in Boulder, which isn't very helpful, but if you need a kids' dentist, I recommend Pediatric Dental Group.  There are a few locations, the main one in WR, and they are great. They accept a wide range of insurances, too, including medicaid.

Hairstylists, I see (when I can afford it!) someone at Centre Salon in Arvada. It's an Aveda spa. Altitude salon (at 44th and Harlan) also has a TON of good reviews.

I also live in Wheat Ridge, but I think I'm not much help since all my doctors are not in Wheat Ridge.

There is a Wheat Ridge Families group on Facebook that you can join and ask questions and meet-up with other moms.  Also if you are on the far east side you can sometimes join Highlands Mommies (have to be before Harlen to the east toward Sheridan). 

Also, the CO Nesties website is filled with moms from Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Golden, Lakewood.  That board is much more active and so they would probably have some recommendations.
