Sorry to be a PW... but I have a silly recipe question, please help!

My recipe calls for the following:

2 cups brown rice, cooked.

Does that mean two cups of cooked rice? Or am I to cook two cups of rice, which will make way more than two cups of cooked rice.  Does that make sense?

I think it is 2 cups of cooked rice (total)

how many does the recipe serve

 1 cup of uncooked rice is about 4 portion sizes.

I think it means 2 cups of cooked brown rice, like the final result of the cooked rice will be 2 cups.

i actually would have guessed that you start with two cups raw rice. can you show us the recipe?
