Recommend your sleep/schedule book

Sorry I know this has been asked before. I need to start reading about getting the twins on a schedule. My son did not sleep through the night until 8 months old. I cannot imagine going through that with twins. I want to get them on a schedule as soon as possible!

Re: Recommend your sleep/schedule book

  • Babywise had all 3 of our boys STTN at 8 weeks... when DS1 did it we thought "ok, maybe we're just lucky" but when the twins did it, too, on the same night at 8w - we realized that BW is to credit for sure.
  • I agree w/ PP.  Babywise has been great and was recommended to me by another MoM while I was pregnant who loved it.  Those who knock it haven't tried it :)  My twins STTN at 6 wks.

  • we're another Babywise family. We're on our second week, but it the schedule made sense as the nursery was bringing the babies to me every three hours while I was in the hospital.

We are on a 2.5/3 our schedule now with longer periods of sleep at night. After this week we'll start trying to focus more on waketime. But I'm not too worried about it with 2 week olds!

  • I read 6 or 7 sleep books, my girls were not good sleepers for a long time (reflux issues).  I found "The SleepEasy Solution" to be the most helpful.  It doesn't go into an eating schedule, but it's good for naps, weaning night feedings, sleep problems, etc.  I always followed the girls lead on eating they usually ate every 3 hours (sometime 2-2.5 during growth spurts early on) and at around 4 months went to every 4 hours (which is awesome!)
