Any good tutorials out there? I need one: "InDesign for Dummies - the very Basics" and I'm not having much luck. Many of them describe special features and skip over the steps of how they actually got there.
I have, but I knew Quark XPress first, so many of the operations and tools are the same. Try a different book - I like the Adobe Classroom in a book series:
I have inDesign for Dummies... and I still can't figure out what the hell I am doing with it. I spent the better part of 2 days yesterday cussing and swearing at the book, the program, and my boss because of it! LOL!!
Get the classroom in a book. I used those in high school and college for learning Pagemaker/Quark/Photoshop. Also..if there is a university near you see if they offer classes to faculty/staff that you can pay to attend. I've gone to one of ours and it was good but since I'm not using it daily it's hard to get used to.
I'm going to get that book. I'm also attending a seminar but I have a feeling it will focus a lot on photoshop ... which will be good but i need to learn indesign too.
