Sorry I keep asking for recs on this stuff. You can tell I'm in baby prep mode. :-) I'm working on my registry and wondering about the best crib sheets. I remember my sister telling me to just go to Target and buy a bunch of solid-color jersey sheets. I don't even see those, but she said that a few years ago. I've been reading reviews on Target's site and BRU and it seems like many shrink easily or don't fit well.
So, can I tap into Bumpie experience and find out what type of crib sheets you like?
Re: Crib sheets
I have the ones that came from my set from Target, and a couple spare cotton ones I got from Target. I hate jersey, it always stretches weird, so I didn't try those. Maybe they're easier to get on a crib mattress though?
Anyhoo...my confession is this. I put one of these across the mattress and tuck in the sides, and just pull it up and wash it. That way I got my pretty sheet and I don't have to change it often. https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3046050
I got those pads in every size, and use them on the changing pad, mattress, couch, you name it. They're soft and waterproof and awesome. The biggest size is perfect for going sideways across a mattress, and it picks up pukes and blowouts great.
Ok, I splurged recently and got Laurel flannel crib sheets that I LOVE.
I like the Swaddle Designs sheets. Great quality, super soft, love the patterns.
If you like them on fb, they often have discounts as well.
I like the chamois crib sheets from Pottery Barn Kids. And these sheets get good reviews.

I also have Organic Jungle Crib Sheets from gap.com that I got this past summer, but gap.com is not selling as much bedding now like it did in the past. And I have Carter's Ivory Jersey Sheets. I got a variety of sheets, since I did not buy a nursery bedding set. And I have a dark brown breatheable bumper for my baby's crib.
When Rye came along, I got one sheet that matches his dust ruffle, then got the PBK chamois ones and honestly, I rarely take it off and use the non chamois. Even on the summer, it is so soft and it's warm o the winter. Same with Audreys chamois sheet.
You really only need 3 sheets. One for the bed, one in the drawer and one in the wash. (the rule of 3).
only going thru night time potty training did I ever wish I had more sheets. Lol. When you are changing sheets every night, that is when you are thankful for the cheapy sheets. They never stayed on the bed for more than one night.
they are around $20-$25 (maybe $26?) but worth every penny! It was no question which sheets to buy for #2.
I have these carter sheets

And this sheet from PBK

I will have a few sets of great shape ones of them for sale at the bumps and babies fair next month.
Thank you, everyone! I've got some sheets to start checking out! Oh, I already added a few of those pads to the registry b/c I remember them being mentioned previously. :-)
Lauri- I'll be at the fair and checking out the goodies!
You can ask for recs on overnight diapers and you roll your eyes at questions about crib sheets?
