I had DS there last spring. I was induced early due to pre-e & had a c-section. DS & I both ended up in ICU/NICU for a few days due to pre-e related complications before going back up to their "Mom & Baby" area. Everyone was very nice & made me feel as comfortable as possible in every area we were in. They seemed to genuinely care about me & DS & would stop by to check on us even if they weren't assigned to my room. No complaints here.
ETA: I did think of one thing. The ICU is on the opposite end from the NICU so it was a little frustrating for SO to have to go back & forth so far to spend time with each of us. That isn't normally an issue though.
Yup. I had DS there in Dec of '09. The nurses (especially my night nurse, Tina) were great and I felt like I had really quality care.
The only thing I would change is that I felt like I wasn't a good enough advocate for my birth plan. I wanted a natural birth and didn't question why I was being given Pitocin 2 hours after my water spontaneously broke on its own. Truthfully, I think that had more to do with my OB than it did the hospital though
