what is your playground pick-up line?

Do you have a standard approach when meeting other moms at the playground or the library or what have you? 

I tend to start with "do you come here often?"  I didn't realize I was using such a classic line until DH overheard me at the playground today.  I got the digits though

I usually ask their DC's name and compliment them on something cute the kid was doing.  I move on to how we've been living here a year, and at least 75% of the time the mom is from somewhere else, too, so we talk about our home towns, etc.  It's a very transient place so we all tend to be in the same boat: trying to make friends, getting used to NJ, etc.

Name/age, or something about the kids if they've already gravitated to one another and started to play together. We're new to our neighborhood - or we were last summer so I was doing it a lot. My problem is I forget names really easily so  I would meet someone and two days later not remember their first name when I saw them again. I need to make lists but if anyone ever saw me writing down their information they'd probably think I was a stalker!

Have you thought about a mom group?  I belong to Moms Club and I love it.  But I had to go through several groups before I found one with the right personality for me.

I usually just ask the name of LO and age. Most people I meet are from meetup.com groups.  I haven't met too many on playgrounds yet because it's so cold and previously LO had such weird nap times that I was hitting up the parks when no one was there!

I have thought about it, but it's just never seemed to work out that I want to go when the time comes around.  It's good to hear that other people like them though.  Maybe that will motivate me to go.
