one insert during the day for pocket diapers?

I have 3 diapers that I am testing out to see which brand we like best and so many inserts!  Do you use one during the day and two at night?  I am confused about how many to use?  Also, do you use different inserts with different brand diapers, does that matter?  I got one additional flip organic insert based on the reviews.

I have BGs and FB diapers. I use the inserts interchangeably. I use only one insert during the day (a MF or hemp) and use a MF and hemp at night. No leaks yet!

We have only been using one at day and one at night too, no leaks yet!  Sometimes in the morning the insert is soaked but it has all stayed in.  I think you will just have to play around and see what works.  Right now we are using the microfiber inserts that came with our BG and FB, but I have some hemp on the way that I am excited to try.

We use 2 during the day and at least 3 at night.  It depends on the baby and how much they go.  My DD would be soaked in less than an hour if we used 1 insert.

this for us too...but when DS was younger we only used one during the day and 2 at night.

I have FB, HH, Swadlebees/BB and RAR pockets.  I don't use the inserts I'm "supposed to" in any of them except the Sawadlebees/BB which I bought with the upgraded bamboo inserts. 

In the FBs I use Swadlebees Hemp size medium (super absorbant - my fav insert)

In the HH I use Knickernappies Loopy Dos

In the RARs I use Happy Heiney's Hemp Stuffins

I use only 1 of each of these inserts.  I don't use pockets at night any more I woukd stuff with 1 hemp + 1 microfiber or use a Knickernappies Super Do.
