3rd Trimester

anyones LO already engaged (31weeks?)

I've been having A LOT of contractions/cramping/pressure.  I notice it is worse after I work which right now i'm on reduced schedule and only working 3 days one week & two days the next.  However, I still feel like she's falling out.  Yesterday, after we got back from Children's with Peyton, I had been having contractions & bleeding & so much pressure I called the OB.  He said to go to the hospital and get checked out, they said that I was having contractions that were stronger than BH but not strong enough to be labor..and that my cervix was closed but she could feel the baby's head.  She said she literally is right there & fully engaged.

She gave me a note to be on modified bed rest and off my feet as much as possible because this is very early for the baby to be in position.

I have no clue if it's just because it's my 2nd, or because they were close together, or what.  I just want her to stay put.  I'd rather her move back up so I can walk without feeling like I need to hold my crotch and keep her in lol.

Did they tell you anything like, that it could cause pre-term labor?  I have to call my regular OB in the morning and tell him what the hospital dr said & see what he wants to do.

  • Hi realistic - my baby's been low and engaged since week 30, although I didn't have the problems with the hard contractions and bleeding that you are having. Since then, I've been taking it easier (no real exercise, lifting anything heavy, squats, etc.) and things have been progressing fine. I hope the same for you!
