Starting IVF with no AF?

So, AF is missing. She was supposed to come around 10/1. It doesn't surprise me. I had a c/p at the end of Aug and bled for 5 1/2 wks. I am sure my body is slightly confused. Anyway, I need to start bcp's by Saturday or else we have to move my cycle back. I am heading into my RE today for a scan and possible progesterone injection. Will the injection bring AF by Sat though?

I am thinking to ask my RE if we can just get on bcp's without waiting for AF if everything looks okay on my scan. I am sure I will bleed when I get off bcp's to shed my lining. Has anyone done this before??? I'm interested to see what my RE will say. Does this sound reasonable?

I started my first IVF without AF. Because I never get it, he didn't feel the need to wait or induce, just checked my lining and ovaries and said everything was clear and to go ahead and start BCP.
