We are having our last "first" tonight

Tonight will be Hayden's first night away from mommy. Mommy is a nervous wreck about this. DH bought me concert tickets (Rascall Flatts) for my birthday and so we are going tonight. Since we won't be home until really really late, Hayden is spending the night with MIL & FIL. In 20 months, he has never spent a night without mommy. I am so worried he is going to wake up in the middle of the night crying for mommy and I won't be there. Sad When we have spent the night at my parents, he wakes up during the night and realizes he isn't at home and cries because he doesn't know where he is. I have a feeling that is going to happen tonight. I am trying to put my worries aside but since this is the first time, I am super nervous. I know that it will be good for him and it will be good for DH and I to have a night to ourselves (and sleep in for the first time in 20 months) but it is still hard.

    Enjoy the concert! We saw them in September and it was a awesome concert! Have fun!!! Hayden will be fine :)

    Aww I can understand how that is breaking your heart but have fun and enjoy yourself tonight!

    Remind yourself of this as often as possible tonight. It will be so worth it! Enjoy!!!!

    I was a ball of nerves the first night.  But....in my experience, grandparents are too proud (or too smart?) to admit the kid had a bad night in their care.  I've never gotten a bad report.  Go and enjoy yourself!!

    Enjoy the concert. I promise Hayden will be fine!!!!!  Spending the 1st night away is really hard but it will get easier.  We have left katie quite a few times now and it is still a little tough but it is getting easier.  Every single time I am worried for nothing because she always has a fabulous time and she ends up sleeping better then she does at home.
