Sam vs Costco

Hi Ladies!  I'm planning on getting a membership today and trying to decide which to get, primarily for diapers, but other household stuff too.  Do both carry Pampers?  That's the brand we prefer best, but I'm not opposed to trying a store brand that's comparable.

Re: Sam vs Costco

  • Only Sam's carry's Pampers. We have a membership to Costco & my parents have one to Sam's personally I like Sam's better but we don't have Sam' near us so that is way we will have our Costco membership.

They carry a lot of the same stuff but Sam's is bigger.

  • Costco carries Huggies and their housebrand, Kirkland. Personally, we love Costco. We buy a lot of stuff there.... produce, meat, other food items, laundry stuff. We also buy all of our gas there. We've got an Executive Business membership, so we get a decent return back.

  • I very much prefer Costco. We use our membership there at least 3 times more often than we ever used our Sam's club one. A lot of it is because of the size of the stuff you buy. Costco is geared more towards families looking to save money by buying in bulk, while Sam's is geared towards businesses.

People have already talked about the diapers, but the kirkland ones are awesome!

The produce and butcher shop at costco are nice quality and awesome price. And the pizzas from the cafe are my favorite pizzas hands down. If we lived any closer, I'd probably live on it.

  • We have a Costco membership and we really like it. We mainly use the membership to buy the Kirkland brand dog food, though. :) We actually use Target/Up & Up brand diapers and they're pretty inexpensive compared to Pampers.
  • we had sam's, but switched to Costco since one opened up near us. We use our costco one WAY more than we ever used Sams.
  • We have a membership at Sams and I love going there! we use pampers as well and they are reasonably priced there. We also buy our formula from sams we are using enfamil which baby and I both love.
  • We have a Costco membership and love it.  We use the Kirkland wipes, and love them.

That said, if you're looking for Pampers, you can order them on amazon.com.  If you sign up for the subscribe and save and the mom programs, you can get a 30% discount, and if your order is over $25, free shipping.  It ends up to be quite a bit cheaper than Sams.  The last box of Pampers baby dry diapers I purchased was a 204 count for $28.00 after discount.  I went into Sams last week during their free trail days, and if I remember correctly, they sell the same box for $35.99.
