i'm so pissed about this and i know that's dumb but ... ARGH!
tomorrow starts full whole milk with no more formula (we introduced it very slowly- an ounce at a time for one week at a time). i know she won't have a problem because she's drinking primarily whole milk BUT i was planning to completely get rid of the bottles tomorrow, too. at least try it. she's been drinking from sippy's since she was 6 months old- water and formula- so i know she can do this. thing is that i wanted to try to match daycare's sippy's so that i could stop bringing stuff to daycare. they use the hard sprout playtex kind. fine. she's been using and is used to the cheap Take N Toss ones and those have a hard(er) sprout so shouldn't be a big deal. i go to walmart at lunch in -2 degrees and find these PLAYTEX INSULATORS. they looked closest to the ones at daycare so i got them and get them home to wash only i cant open the mofo things! ARGH! here i am wrestling with the stupid thing thinking i've totally lost my marbles. i read the packaging i ripped open in pieces and it says to make sure to read and keep instructions. well where the F are the instructions?!??? ARGH!!! i go online and find on the website how to lock the damn cups but no instruction how to open. ARGH!!!! then i see on amazon a review that someone says they're the worst cups because once you get them closed they're impossible to open so at least that made me feel a little better. (I finally do manage to open one and guess what's inside- the instructions!)
i just hate wasting my time and money on stupid crap and it frustrates me to no end that these mofo stupid things aren't going to work out cuz now i gotta get back out there and waste more time trying to return them. ARGH.
lesson to be learned: IF IT AINT BROKE DON'T FIX IT! i'm sticking with the damn cheap Take N Toss cups with lids that snap on and off and are pretty damn leak proof considering.
ARGH! stay away from Playtex Insulators!
