WTF? Kinder registration has started!

I thought they start like in April. I can't believe I have to start registering my baby for Kindergarden. OMG somebody hold me!

I know - it amazes me.  I my district, the applications for open enrollment and full day kindy are due mid Jan, the pre-k program application is due mid Feb and I think the rest of the kindy stuff is due Feb or March plus the before/after school stuff.  The open house/1st kindy meeting was held back in Nov.

Yeah, open houses were in December and enrollment had to be done last week (open enrollment picks) and the Kindergarten orientation is in February.

It really hit home when I had to turn in that paperwork.

I know, DD's school was filled by Feb. when I enrolled her. When it's time for DS to go, I'll have to enroll him in October since he gets priority enrollment as a sibling.

Yeah, I know.   We had an informational meeting at Rory's school last week, and I had to stare up at the ceiling and think about work-related things just to keep the tears out of my eyes.

I.KNOW!!! Holyfuckinfshit, I missed our registration!!!!! It was Nov. 1!!!! aaahhh. I'm in official freakthefuckout mode.

How were you guys notified, or did you just call the district?????? I'm furious that I didn't know. Mad at myself.

This is what I was doign during our info meeting in December. Registration now. I don't know if I can handle it.

The day I registered Kevin for Kindergarten (13 years ago) I came home, call my best friend crying and said "I need a slow gin fizzzzzzzz!!!!".  We still laugh about it.  HUGS!!!

Thankfully, my neighbor and good friend is the principal at one of the elementary schools in town.  He just sent out an email alerting me to the enrollment dates.  THANK GOODNESS because I hadn't been checking the website and have gotten nothing in the mail either.

All of the kindie stuff for our district has to be in by today. When I was filling everything out last week (online) I bawled like a baby.

OK...leaving this post now because I'm tearing up again. Gah! What's going to happen come September?!?!

They do kindie round up in February (which we didn't attend last year because we weren't sure which school he'd end up going to).  And starting next week, it starts again.  I actually didn't have Logan fully registered for kindergarten this year until mid-August.

All the nesties has be worried, so I looked it up just a couple days ago.  For us, Registrations is one night, mid-April. I assume that's an open house and enrollment all in one.

I can't believe it either!! DS is in Kindergarten now but we have to register every year (private school) and they are sending the paperwork home later this month! It just seems to soon!
