just talked to a friend whose son was an ochsner nicu baby several years ago, and she works there now (not the nicu, but at the hospital). she just called the nicu and found out that the reunion is on dec 5. (the day after the boys' birthday!) she said it's usually in the afternoon.

  • I WILL BE THERE!!!! I was thinking about the NICU the other day and cried the whole night. I have a friend that had her baby at 36 weeks but has Group Strep B...Baby is doing great and he should be home Thursday (born Sept 28th0..Well I was talking to the mom (baby was transported to Oshner after he was born)..Well that night all the feeling about the NICU can back...and now I am SO SCARED that I will have the new baby early....

  • I understand. Just being back at the hospital today, walking through the atrium, the smell, the elevators, everything brought it all back to me. It wasn't as emotionally wrenching as it was last time I was there, but man, it's hard. And my boys weren't even THAT early and weren't in that long, but it's just so emotional.

You'll do great, so will new baby! :)
