Weight loss check-in

How did everyone do this week?  Try any new recipes?  Reach any goals?

I lost 6lbs this week, but I think it was due to me being sick and drastically cutting calories and eating soup, LOL.  I drank more water than normal, but didn't get in 8 glasses a day.  Something I've found that works wonders for me is to down a glass -of water right before I eat.  That seems to help me not over indulge and helps control my portions.  My 6lb loss has got me really pumped!  I think this week I'm gonna try and add in some form of exercise.  Like I said, I was feeling sick most of this week so I'm gonna try and add in some exercise to next weeks plan.

  • I'm down 3.5 lbs!  We started doing some Wii Fit and I am drinking more water.  Yay!

    I still haven't started...I am going to be on an exercise plan, and it has been too cold for me to exercise lately.  Soon enough!

  • I'm up yet another pound. This has been the most stressful week and two days I didn't get to eat until around 10 p.m. I did drink more water but fell short of my goal of 8 cups a day. I don't have much time to cook now and I am super stressed out at work not to mention I'm in school.

    MrsAO, are you doing the Points Plus WW? If so, can you share the details of how it works? I have a church member who lost 4 pounds the first week and didn't even exercise.


  • I am down 2 lbs!  That's with little changes and adding more exercise.  My weigh in for Scale Back is Monday...so I'll be at it hard and heavy starting next week!

    Congrats to everyone who lost, and if you didn't, that's ok too...try, try again! :)

    Ashley, I'm not doing the new Points Plus program b/c I'm not officially signed up and don't have the materials. So I'm still doing the old way with the books I already have. I'm considering joining for a couple months just to get the info though because I hear it's a lot better. I know they have free registration right now but I need to check it out to see what the "other" charges are. Please dont get too discouraged about this. When you're stressed, it's just more difficult so remember that. Sounds like you already know what you want to do.

    I'm down 1 pound since my last weigh-in two weeks ago - and although I wish it were more, I'm pleased with it because it finally puts me under that number I've been chasing for months now. However, I reserve the right to think I weigh even less because I just started my monthly and I'm attributing a couple pounds to bloat and water retention, LOL! 

    I did drink a lot more water this week than normal - and I'm defintiely going to try the drinking a glass before dinner thing..I only worked out once so my goal for next week is to get back on track with that.

  • I didn't lose any, but didn't gain either. 

    After talking with my OB and my LC, they agree that I'm going to have to eat like I'm pregnant to maintain my milk supply.  At this point, high carb, high fat is the only thing that seems to keep it up enough to not need supplementing.  The OB told me to expect to fluctuate 5 lbs in either direction, but that I will not be able to really drop anymore weight as long as I am breastfeeding.  I'm a bit sad about not being able to lose any weight right now, but know it's all for LO and only temporary. 

    I have managed to get my water in this week.  We have a cooler at work and it makes it so easy to fill up my 20 oz container before and after lunch!  

     I'm hoping to add in some exercise next week, just to make me feel better.

  • I'm down 4lbs this week which brings me to a total of 7lbs lost!  I'm stoked about it :) 

    I managed to get my water intake every day this week except yesterday.  I've been stressed about the amount of school work I have on me, but I have noticed something..usually when I stress I eat, but this time around it's like food is the last thing on my mind.  I have been mindfully trying to not eat past 7pm and I have noticed if I eat dinner between 5:30-6pm I can easily not eat after 7 but if we eat earlier then I am usually hungry and trying not to snack.  If I do snack I try to find a healthy one.  

    Still need to get some exercise in...it's mainly finding the time.  I really wish the weather would get nice again so I could resume walking while pushing A in her wagon or stroller.  I think  those walks do us both some good.
