Someone just posted this on their facebook page. Does this mean what I think it means?!

"The bigger the lips, the smaller the tips, lol..'

I'm not misinterpreting this, am I? And FWIW this was posted by a business owner on a business page! I'm still am trying to pick my jaw up off the floor...

I'm thinking that you are thinking a sexual reference? I think it means the more the person (waiter) talks he smaller the tip? There's nothing like trying to having a night out and the waitstaff won't stfu.

I agree with Joe. I actually like friendly waiters/waitresses, but not the ones who are obnoxious and fake about it. You can tell when they're a nice person and when they're just trying to get an excellent tip.

Is the business a restaurant (or another business where tips are standard)?  If so, I would assume he's saying that customers who are obnoxious or complainers are the ones who tip the least.  Kind of unprofessional to complain about tips on a restaurant website, though.

ETA:  Gah, I hope it doesn't mean what Lari said - that never occurred to me.

Yeah, I was absolutely reading it as a racial slur. 

The business is a small local consigment shop and I've "friended" them because she (the owner) often posts photos of new merchendise but I've noticed that she's constantly posting stupid sh!t. Today takes the cake though. Some other things on her page just from this morning: 

 "If you have to budget your grocery bill, like most of us do, and you include cigarettes...but you have kids to feed, you should be forced to eat them. The smokes or the kids, lol, you pick."

"If you choose 200.00 sneakers before you choose to get your teeth fixed, you don't have to tell me my tax dolars paid for them...I already know"

"Gum popping should be illegal. If you have an IQ over 40, you should know better. If you "pop gum" we know without asking that you paid for it with food stamps."

I was thinking it meant a server who talked excessively to. I would never consider it a racial slur even with the update you posted. Elitist or just plain ignorant maybe.

I didn't take it racial at first, or, well, until Lari posted what she did. 

I'd defriend her, tell her why, and tell her you'd no longer be supporting her business - and will be sure to spread the word.  I'd actually probably also print the screen and forward it to some community leaders/the newspaper.  I don't know what route it would take, but I just wouldn't be able to just "let it go."  People are ignorant.

Secondly I considered that he meant an overly chatty waiter.  The racial slur never crossed my mind.
