Friday Shredding Check In

I am woman, hear me roar!  I gave myself a pep talk this morning after my poor showing yesterday and really pushed myself to the limit and boy it felt GOOD!  I am on Day 2 of Level 2 and I was able to hang in there more today.  That 3rd circuit strength move with the "V" raises and squat is so ridiculous my arms are screaming through the whole move.  I can barely lift my 3 pound weights.  I was better at all the plank moves today...could I actually be developing a core????

As for the pp question about sneakers, I wear cross trainers and I think it makes a difference.  I read on another site that it is recommended to wear sneaks during the Shred due to all the impact/squatting/jumping.  It's worth a try for a few days.

I also saw a weight decrease after that initial terrifying increase so I am convinced L2 will be a good one for me!  Keep it up everyone...and for those newcomers, welcome and stick with it!

  • Haha.  I like that!  I completed L1 D5 today.  It's getting easier each time and my endurance has definitely improved in this short amount of time.  Only 4 days ago I remember struggling to get back off the floor before they did in time to start the next move.  Now, I'm up in a jiffy.  Ha!  Keep it up ladies Yes

    I , on the otherhand, sucked it up yesterday. I skipped. It was 8:45 by the time we got home last night and I had to be up at 6:00 for a kidney ultrasound this morning. (chronic uti's) I was emotionally spent and checked out early.

    But today.... I'm ready for it. I am planning my day around finding time to workout. Only 9 more days!

  • Today was D17 L3 for me. I was getting bored with L2 and felt like I had hit a plateau. I haven't seen a weight loss in over a week and I was getting frustrated. Man is L3 hard but it gave me a good workout! I am so glad I moved up... Maybe I can get this weight loss into gear, although I am more concerned about toning really. There is a lot of high impact moves and my knees were killing but I didn't have to stay with Anita the whole time. I notice a difference in my endurance and I like that. I will probably switch between L2 and L3 though because I like certain things about both exercises...
    SAHM to the sweetest little girl and boy... I love my job!

  • I slacked majorly and skipped last night's workout.  My DH and I had a date night for the first time in a while and we were out later than usual so I skipped.  Tonight I'm back to it though and it will be D4 L1 for me and I'm planning to try to do it twice on Saturday, once in the morning and once at night.  Fingers crossed that goes ok! 
  • I'm on Day 8 overall and my third day doing level 2, I think? I'm nowhere near mastering or feeling comfortable at this level yet but finally was able to do the skater move for the first time! I've resolved to stay off the scale at least until I complete L2, which for me will be whenever I feel like it's getting too easy and I'm ready for L3. I don't expect that to happen anytime soon! Keep it up, everyone!
