The top of my bump is numb

I suppose this is just another weird thing that happens when you are pregnant, but the top of my bump (directly under my boobs) seems to go numb when I am in a seated position. It's also kind of painful, if that makes sense. Does this happen to anyone else?

yes! I asked my doctor about it...I dont kow if this is the same thing you are feeling. Me its if i make a sudden move it will really hurt and then burn but there is also a constant nagging pain all day

This is happening to me, more so on my right side. Glad I'm  not the only one.

It happens to me also, I think he might be pushing in my ribs or something.  It is very uncomfortable.

Oh yes, I feel your pain (har har).  I asked my doc and she said it was nerves getting pinched, and once the baby is delivered it should go away.  I am numb there, sometimes it is a horrible pain, other times it feels like a block of dry ice is sitting on my bump.  Hands down the most uncomfortable thing I have experienced in my pregnancy.

That happened to me with both of my pregnancies starting around 30 weeks. If I sit in the same position for a long time and when I lay on my right side I go numb right under my boob near my rib cage (more on the right side).

Yup, I've had the same sensation on the top of my bump (like a tingling when your foot falls asleep), especially on my right side.

Yep, I get it in that same spot, and the top of my right thigh.

This happens to me all the time, on the right side.  It goes numb and sometimes it burns.    

Midwife said it's nothing to worry about.  But it's really starting to piss me off. Can't eat, ever, without being in pain.  So naturally, I am worried about it.
