So my DD starting sleeping through the night (11-7) when she was 2 months old. Then at four months she stopped. Now she is waking up every few hours and won't sleep unless someone is holding her. This has been going on for three months and I am about to lose my sh*t. I have read evey sleep book (believe me, all of them) and tried every technique besides CIO and nothing has worked. She doesn't want to eat, she just wants to be held. I have tried sleeping on the floor of her room, but she just screams until one of us picks her up. ANd now she is getting harder to put down every night. On the occasional night she gets 6-7 hours of sleep at a streach she is such a happier baby during the day.
I really do nto want to CIO, but I am out of options.....advice?
Re: Time to CIO?
Some babies just want to be held and won't 'unlearn' that unless you let them CIO. I'm really against CIO and just figured it was normal that my little baby would want touch at night. So we coslept. We actually just moved him to a toddler bed part time (he's 2).
I think it's just one of those things you have to weigh up for yourself. I definitely have no regrets.
