**Pesky*--RE Milk

Pesky.. do you use Royal Crest Dairy for your home delivery?

If so, you can get it much cheaper by going to a local Farm Crest Milk store and buying it yourself.  A gallon of whole milk is about half the price of the really expensive home delivery stuff.. and it's the same thing.

Re: **Pesky*--RE Milk

  • No, I do Longmont Dairy.  If they have a store, let me know!  I have to say I taste-tested both and there is a noticeable difference with Longmont (tastes better) and I thought Royal Crest tasted more like store-bought.

  • BIP I use Royal Crest and am about to stop, even if we did have the money. It doesn't stay fresh until the date on the jug. It spoils really fast and I don't like that. Where is that store??? I need cheaper milk :)

  • Aw.. we don't have Longmont down here in the Springs..   Oh well.  Royal Crest is still better than what I can get in the grocery store.. by a long shot.

And Nicole.. There are several Farmcrest Milk Stores in the metro area.  I think there's one off University and Dry Creek, maybe??  (Can't recall... but we've stopped there before.)   It's a convenience store, but they sell Royal Crest aka Farm Crest milk, which is not in other stores.  You get a punch card, too.  So after so many purchases, you get free milk!

And if your milk's not keeping and going sour fast.. hate to say it, but check your fridge.  Our milk is good for a solid two weeks easy... maybe more.. haven't had any last that long!   At our old house, we had an ancient fridge and nothing stayed fresh there for more than a few days.
