Wooo hooo I will start by saying I KNOW that it technically means "nothing" and I could stay this way for weeks and weeks, but I feel the need to celebrate anyway.Had the GBS/ 36 week appointment today and of course got the "surprise" internal. No big deal, I actually don't find them painful when it's done by a doctor/midwife that I like, and this one is way awesome. Anyway she was quite surprised and was like "wow" "well, let me just say that your cervix is just hanging out there at like three to four centimeters" I was like cool! No effacement yet and baby is still way high, but she said she would conservatively say three, but also that other docs would call it a four. SO for someone who has been hoping/praying/ hounding for a VBAC, I feel this is very good step in the right direction! It makes all of the uncomfortable, sleepless nights due to BH/ contrax totally worthwhile! That's all for now:)
