update: the mystery smell is GONE!!!

Today I was on my floor cleaning and got a terrible wiff, so I thought it was coming from under the fridge, I pulled the fridge out and cleaned, nope not it.

I had cleaned every single corner of that kitchen and eliminated the freezer from anything potentially bad...Finally I scoured my fridge (AGAIN) and what do you know, I found a container that was completely hiding and I couldn't see from my regular angle.  I don't even know what was in it but it was DEFINITELY the smell!  It was disguised in a sour cream container so if I did see it, I must have assumed it was sour cream.

Either way HURRAY!!! after 2 long weeks, the stank is out of my kitchen!  I don't have to burn candles constantly now!

Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever!     Childhood cancer (DH) + chemo + radiation = 0 sperm.
    LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
    LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
    Life is beautiful!

    Did you open the container or just toss the whole thing?    I would have just chucked the whole thing and then probably gagged in the sink.  Ick!
