Success after IF

What is considered a 2 word phrase??

I know that night-night or bye-bye are not considered 2 word phrases since they are repetitions of the same word, however would these be considered 2 word phrases?

up please

help please

down please

Hayden has been saying these (we have been working on please...can you tell) and I am not sure if I should consider these 2 word phrases or not. I know at his 18 month appointment his pedi had used the example of "daddy bye-bye" or "daddy work" as examples of a 2 word phrase.

  • Absolutely!
Childhood cancer (DH) + chemo + radiation = 0 sperm.
    LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
    LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
    Life is beautiful!

  • Definitely. Go Hayden!

And my pedi said even signing two signs can count as a two-word phrase. (Elizabeth signs "more" followed by "please" all the time).

After 20 months, 3 Clomid cycles and 4 IUI cycles, IVF #1 with ICSI = BFP!

  • Definitely!! Way to go Hayden : )

Katie's favorite new 2 word phrase...screaming "LET GO" when I try to hold her hand or get her to do something.  Ahh it drives me crazy but at the same time it is kinda funny.  Oh and she was also saying "Hey Baby" yesterday after she heard in a song on the radio...kid cracks me up!

  • Thanks ladies. I thought they would be but I didn't want to be wrong.

PhillySue-That is so cute as I can imaine her screaming "Let Go" at you. Hayden just tries to pull his hand out of mine.

Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever! • Those were our first 2 word phrases - for both of them! (unless you count "scuba diver" which I didn't)
Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
