Using Prometruim for the 1st time

With IVF there was always the PIOs which I had down pat...but now with IUI things are different. So I start these Prometrium pills tomorrow. They are supposed to be inserted vaginally, which is fine, escpecially since I ordered an applicator, but I have read that some things that say to lay down for 30 min afterwards and others that say it doesn't matter.  What did you do?

My RE had me lay down after inserting the supps, to help keep more of it in. They do get nasty so I definately suggest/recommend wearing at least a panty liner. GL!

Before I had Jacob, I probably could have laid down for 30 minutes.  But with a toddler, I don't know if that's going to happen!    You don't HAVE to lay down, but it can't hurt if you have the opportunity.

But definitely wear a pantyliner.  The supp will leak out, but don't worry.  Its still doing what it needs to do.  It can just be gross.

I lay down if I have the chance, if I don't, I don't worry about it.

I always tried to lay down but I'm not sure if it made a difference. I always had a leak a few hours later so just wear a pantyliner!

I never laid down. My RE never said anything so I didn't know otherwise. Be sure to stock up on panty liners and put some in your purse when you leave the house too. The leakage is the worst.
