IUD Mamas...

I got my IUD in early November.  I had some spotting right afterward, but have not had a period since.  I know it's not uncommon to no longer have your period with the Mirena, but I would have thought I'd get it at least once.  I had my period twice before getting the IUD put in.  

Please tell me I'm not the only one who hasn't had their period since getting the IUD.  I had a dream I was pg again and about sh*t myself.  Crazy how I spent so long wanting to get pg and not being able to and now I'm totally freaked out about it happening again.  My body cannot handle another pregnancy right now! 

 I did get it checked out at the end of December and it was in place and everything was fine so I realize I'm just being paranoid.

I didnt get my first spotting/period (never more than spotting) about 90 days after the insert bleeding stopped.

My IUD was scheduled to be taken out this past June. The doctor had me wait to have a period before I got the next one in. We decided to go straight from IUD to IUD because we thought we were finished with two girls, 5 and 7. I got the new IUD placed in August. I had the spotting as usual and some cramping for the first week. Well, became pretty ill the first week of December and thought it was the medication I was taking. Took a blood test and BAM.....PREGNANT! Are you kidding me? No period, nothing. The doctor took the IUD out and a week later we lost the baby. But it's ok, we are now trying to get pregnant

Moral of the story......first IUD, no periods and lasted 5 years. Second IUD, no period, pregnant 3 months in....hmmmm.....

I don't think that my situation was the norm....just puttin it out there. Good Luck!
