I am 7 weeks pregnant and I started bleeding yesterday, I went to the doctor and their was no heartbeat. I decided not to have a D&C, being I just had one in May. Can I wear a tampon, I forgot to ask, I am thinking no because my cervix will open?
The ER nurse told me not to because you want to monitor how much you're bleeding. If you bleed through a pad in an hour or less then you would want to go and get checked. Just to be safe, I would wear a pad. Plus the discomfort.
I am sorry that you're in this position. Wishing you the best.

Defn NO to tampons. You have a much greater risk of infection. Also, not to be gross, but with mine I had a lot of tissue and clots and there is no way a tampon would have absorbed that.
Always infinity seemed to work well for me. They're more expensive, but I felt it was worth it.

This! I am so sorry that you are going through this loss. But you will pass a lot of tissue and clots and they need to come out and a tampon would just hold them in there on top of the risk of infection like PP said. I hope this passes for you quickly and as painless as possible.

I am so sorry for what you're going through. For a natural m/c, my doctor said no. No tampons, no douche, no sex for three weeks.
