Prefold Recommendation

What are some good prefold brands? We're going to us PFs for the newborn stage and then move into AIOs/pockets. Also, what size do you recommend? Newborn or small?

I loved my GMD orange edge prefolds when he was brand new. The next size bigger would have been so bulky.  They take awhile to prep (6 washes) but are well worth it.  greenmountaindiapers.com

I loved our GMD's as well. We still use them to give LO's bottom a break from the AIOs.

We bought a few of the NB PFs to use as doublers for the orange edges and now I use them as spray protection when I'm changing my little boy.

Okay great, sounds like the way to go. Now, how many should I get? 36? We're planning on most PFs with just a few fitteds until he's older and I'll build up my stash with pockets.

Also, how many covers do you recommend?
