Some RE's don't do trial transfers and don't know what they're looking at until your embies are in the tube and ready to go.
I have a REALLY retroverted uterus and it effects the angle of my cervix. Wit my mock transfer he made notes that he planned to clamp me to avoid any trouble threading the cervix and to get to the ute better.
Sounds like your RE knows his/her stuff and is making the appropriate preparations to put those embies right where they need to be!!!
Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
That's a good thing that he knows this. It means they checked to ensure optimal placement of the embies. My RE did this at one of my first visits after we went down the IVF route. They need to put them at the very top of the uterus and if the RE hasn't measured beforehand, they don't know exactly what length of catheter to use for the transfer.
Nothing to worry about. This should actual make you LESS nervous!
Wow, I have never heard of this. But wouldn't this be a good thing? The ebies would be further in you and maybe more likely to be all snuggly for 9 months?
After 21 cycles, and severe MFI, we finally did it with IVF #1 w/ICSI! Nico arrived 12/3/08!!!
