XP: Easter Baskets!

I have been searching for the perfect Easter baskets for a long time. I wanted a classic basket (not like a stuffed animal basket, etc.). I LOVE the pottery barn kids baskets, but HATE the liners (I like the idea of a liner, but hate the boy print choices). After searching Etsy high and low, I found a basket weaver that I liked and asked if she could make some custom baskets. She made them in like 2 days!!! I'm so excited to get them...I haven't gotten them yet, but here are pictures:

Yay! I'm so happy.

My family might have been strange growing up, but we used the same baskets each year and it was so exciting to pull them out a few weeks before Easter. I hope my kids will get the same excitement as they grow older with these baskets!

Have you thought about Easter yet? Found any baskets you love?

Re: XP: Easter Baskets!

  • The only time I have thought about Easter was while eating a cadbury egg yesterday :) But we used the same baskets every year too while growing up!

  • I've been looking for handmade Easter baskets on Etsy! I also want the personalized fabric part with DS's name on it. All I have found is the cheap baskets and to personalize, they just paint it on. Could you let me know who you used for the baskets and if you found a person who will do the liner? TIA

  • we always used the same basket, year after year!
  • I totally made that same basket about 15 years ago! My SIL was into basket weaving for a while and she taught me. I still have it!

I got the baskets a lady named Joanna. She is SUPER awesome to work with - answers e-mails/questions promptly, will combine basket ideas and basically create anything you want! This is her etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/joannascollections and she also has a website (here). I basically looked at her website and picked out the shape of the basket I liked and then asked her to paint the base, etc.

I have not found anyone to do a liner, not sure I'll bother...I think I'll try one year without and then find someone to make them if I find I need/want them.
