Success after IF

I freaking HATE mail-order medications....

I get that they're "cost saving" - I understand that the companies like them but they NEVER EVER EVER work the way they're supposed to.

I've been out of Metformin for 6 days now and being 34 weeks (almost 35) that's going to be SUPER fun to get back on when/if it actually ever comes. This happens EVERY SINGLE TIME I refill - its weeks late.

"So order earlier!" you say? You can't, I order on the 1st available refill day and its sooooooooooooo late that it goes past when I'll be out of drugs. They are supposed to offer an "emergency temp refill" at a retail pharmacy but they make it almost impossible to fill.

And that coupled with sitting on hold for over an hour while my customer service tries to figure this out - I want to rip my eyelashes out one by one! I'm supposed to be napping right now dammit!

  • This is one of the reasons I refuse to use the mail-order option. It would save me money, but I can't risk running out of either of the two medications I take.

I hope you get it resolved soon!

  • This post makes me VERY nervous. I am in the waiting room at my doc's office. He wants me to do the mail order. I can't go ONE day without my ADHD meds. ::biting nails::

I don't have a choice - my insurance REQUIRES it. You CAN NOT fill at retail or it won't be covered, at all.

We get the first 3 refills at the pharmacy and after that it's GOOD LUCK trying to get anyone who has a clue either at the dr's office or at the insurance company.  I can tell you I totally dread dealing w/ the mail order sh*t.  I screamed, and I mean SCREAMED into the phone a few months ago when I was trying to get my prenatals refilled.  And about two weeks ago I was trying to get DS's zantac and the dr. said they called it in 3X but insurance kept saying they had no record.  It's terrible.
