K has been wearing Pampers Extra Protection diapers overnight since she could fit into the smallest size. I noticed the other day that they don't seem to come in a size 6 (the next size up for her), at least not that I've seen at the Target where we buy them.
The size 5s still fit, but now that she's wearing 5s during the day I'm wondering if we should be looking into another option for overnight. Is the next step pull-ups?
Re: When do you start putting LO in pull-ups?
no, I bet you'll find the 5s or 6s (if you can find them online) will fit until she potty trains. DD never went about a size 4, DS is at a 5 now but they are still huge on him.
Pullups are NOT as good for nighttime as they feel wet (to help them learn wet v dry) so she probably wouldn't like them IMO.
I know very little about larger sized diapers but I will tell you that pull ups have zero absorbency on the sides due to the way they're made. (not that diapers have a ton but they've got more than pull ups do)
My guys peed out of pull ups MUCH worse than they peed out of overnight diapers due to the design.
And... they stayed in size 4's for EVER so you may not need to worry about her growing out of the 5's. I think a lot of kids stay in the same larger size for quite a while.
How big do Huggies Overnight's run?
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
See...this is why I love boards like this. I had no clue pull-ups allowed them to feel wet and that they weren't as absorbant as diapers. I know so many people who put their kids in them overnight so I just assumed they were the next step.
I'll see if I can find size 6 online, just in case, but hopefully the 5s will fit for awhile. Thanks ladies.
