break time!

Holy pepsi! i woke up this morning at 530 and couldnt go back to sleep so i decided to paint the house (dh and i have been slowly remodeling and fixing up) well i finally took a break and i have paint everything but the kitchen and our bed room! wow! im very proud of myself. Oh and i adopted a puppy! i get to pick her up on friday! i took advice from a lovely lady about volunteering and went to the pound and they were more then happy to have me! but now i hope i dont bring every dog home with me (dh may run away and join the circus) if i bring to many home!

Dang, Muffin, you are on a roll!  Fish, dogs, house painting!  I hope you are feeling better, when I saw your name on the post, I immediately thought of you dog.  I am still sorry about that.  I am happy that you took in a needy puppy.  I know she will be happy to have you as a puppy mom.

I think you need to find some time to take a few minutes for yourself soon, like maybe treat yourself to a small shopping trip, or some dessert, or a massage.  You have been so busy lately, I admire you!  It reminds me of how unproductive I have been, so hopefully I can use this as motivation to get some projects done!

Congrats on your puppy!! I just recently tried to "foster" a little dog and find her a home..turns out fit right into my home=) My husband will no longer allow me to foster pups..we are topped out at 3. But this one is little, like 7lbs, so I dont think she really counts=)

Congrats on your new puppy!  What kind is she?  DH and I have spent some time on our local animal shelter's website scoping out potential adoptees, but we need to work on getting our little guy more comfortable with other dogs first.  We are almost convinced that he doesn't think he's a dog because he loves just about every other type of creature.

Hadley- Today is a great day! Things get done when i cant get bcak to sleep after Dh leaves for work at 5 so i thought i should just paint. As for our Dog we had to put down i still get sad about him and i know our other dog Lola misses him a great deal she lays on his bed and cries so she needs a friend. And these brought in 11 puppies! Holy pepsi i didnt know dogs could have that many! 

As for me time. That is the hardest part so thats why i keep busy! But this weekend DH and our 2 good friends are going to ride our dune buggies around which i am looking forward to! and Dessert comes every day at 3pm DH brings home a cupcake (im not gonna fit in my pants LOL) Tomorrow starts walking again hoping to do a mile in 15min like i used to. may not happen for a while. Im gald you are back! i was wondering where you were over the weekend!

Buster-she is a Rott/Lab/St. Bernard. She is going to be huge! but she was also the smallest one brought in out of the 11. Yes our Lab thinks she is a cat and not a dog its very funny. She comes to Here kitty kitty. I hope you are able to find him a friend maybe he needs a kitty and not a doggy?? And our pound will let you bring your dog down so they can meet on neautral ground to see if they get along. Maybe check and see if yours does the same thing??

That was so sweet of your to foster/adopt her! im sure she is very grateful for you! i know i wouldnt be able to foster i couldnt let any of them leave i would be so torn up about it. I would love a 3rd one but i will need to house break #2 first before i think about another! and hope that DH wouldnt run away and join the circus!

There is no such thing as a lazy day! LOL! as long as you get out of bed i consider it to be productive! Thank you for the congrats!

Muffin, I am glad that the busy work is keeping you, well, busy!   I need so badly to start exercising again, maybe we can motivate each other.  Yes, I just hung out with my DH all weekend and was basically computer free the whole time.  We did go skiing for a half day on Monday with two friends, and that was fun.  I would love to see a pic of the fish and pup.   Take care and I will be around all week, (((hugs)))

Congrats on the new pup!  I don't what I would have done without my two dogs during my m/c experience.  It seemed as though they were there more for me than my close friends and family.  I know that sounds crazy, but it's true.

And my two dogs 'make' me excercise.  If I don't take them for a walk, they drive me insane.  So I am thankful to have them during this time.
