mommy and me classes

Does anyone know of any mommy and me classes in the Baltimore area?  I was thinking yoga or some type of exercise??

I was just about to ask the same thing!  My mom wants to get DS a class of some sort for his first birthday.  I think I would despise driving to Columbia every week for Gymboree.    

Anyone have reviews of My Gym?  It seems so expensive to me, but it is near our house.  

Or do you know any community centers that run classes for 1 year olds?

I have not gone to any, but I heard of Stroller Strides and The Little Gym for mommy and me classes.

I went to my gym, it was okay, LO liked it a lot in the beginning but got bored quickly.  They are very scripted in everything they do which I didn't like...

We just started mommy and me swim classes at the Kids First near us, and we are having a great time so far!  Right now, we are just doing it so DD gets used to the water, and we will definitely plan to do more as she gets older for actually learning how to swim.

If any of you are near the Middle River area, the Bengies/Chase Community Center has a fantastic Mommy & Me program. It's for 2-3 year olds, is twice a week (Tues & Thurs) and runs for 2 hours each day. It's about 4 months long (January-May) and is only $65!!!! My 2 year old is loving it so far. It started last week and I'm pretty sure they are still letting people register.

Columbia Yoga Center (I think is the name) might be a hike but they have mommy and me yoga

Oh yeah - I should have mentioned that I work FT, so it has to be on the weekends.  Why is it such a tall order to find these classes on the weekends for moms that work outside of the home?  Grrr.

For the 2-3 age group the parents do stay the whole time. I think they have a pre-k class that just started with no parents.

Hi- Your post came up in a google search for "mommy and me weekend class Baltimore." Looks like we're searching for the same thing! My little boy was born 3/10/10... looking for something we can do together on weekends. Please let me know if you find anything!

They have these great FREE mommy and me classes at the Enoch Pratt Library.  The Main library in Mount Vernon has classes on Saturday mornings and my LO (6 months old) just loves it! You should check out their website.
