BOO, HISS.
Thought the Omnicef wasn't working for ears. Well, ears are healing nicely but the doc says it's more than like strep. They didn't culture because even if it is, he's been on O since Friday, so it wouldn't show.
Just supposed to keep him in until he has 2 fever-free days. Looks like I'm going to have to reschedule the next week or so. Oh, and they told me to watch E like a hawk. He is supposedly just now growing tonsil tissue, so it depends on whether he has any or not. If so, he will more than likely get it, too.
And we're not even going to think about what we're going to do if I end up with it.
Although I feel really bad for J, I honestly can't really complain. He's been a big sweetie through this entire sickness saga (which started in October, the dr reminded me).
Guess I should start finding ways to combat the stir-crazies, since it looks like we'll be stuck inside for a while. Thank goodness for TB and FB, lol!
Re: Strep.
Ugh, poor little guy.
When Paige had strep, it was the worst few days of our lives. It was the sickest she's ever been. She wouldn't eat, couldn't sleep, and just wanted to lay on us. It was weeks before she was back to her normal self.
Aw poor little guy. I just had strep - it took 2 rounds of abx to get rid of. Popsicles are the best. And chicken soup.
And I hope you're as lucky as we were: Nobody else in the house got it! (even though k tried. She grabbed my spoon the day I started feeling sick before i could stop her and put it in her mouth!)
