Woo hoo for another celeb who has no issues talking about IF and making it seem less taboo!
I also like that they waited until after the Golden Globes so they didn't have to talk about it on the red carpet!

Re: Nicole Kidman has another daughter - with gestational carrier!
love it. Wish more sources would use the correct terminology (regardless if they did surrogacy or GC, I'm seeing both) but good for them.
Anyone know if Sunday Rose came to them this way too? I can't seem to remember if Nicole was ever pregnant?
She was pregnant and swore that swimming in a magical lake while filming Australia helped them conceive their miracle pregnancy.
::::booking ticket to Australia:::::
lol.
No, I think there is an IF history there. She and Tom Cruise adopted 2 children, then she had a spontaneous pregnancy (see above) and now used a GC so I am guessing they couldn't conceive with treatment this time.
I wonder the same thing, there is no mention about IF struggles.. She is older so I guess it's safe to assume she had problems.
HA! Do it!!!!
I believe she has also admitted to a history of m/c while with Tom...
Ditto.
Bwahahaha - did she really say that?! In any event, I'm happy for them 7 hope the pregnancy goes smoothly.

Yup, she admitted this once shortly after their divorce. That everything really went downhill in their marriage after their most recent m/c.
This never crossed my mind with her due to her trouble getting and staying pregnant when she was looney tune Tom Cruise (yeah I think he is off his rocker now).
I love Keith Urban and I'm luke warm about her. But, my reaction when I heard this was..."must be nice to be loaded!"
I'm just bitter I can't afford it.
Totally snarky gossip - but - MANY have speculated that her first pregnancy (her daughter Sunday Rose) ... was faked. She was seen VERY shortly after "giving birth" wearing tight white jeans and a short, fitted white blouse (some midriff exposed..) - I'm talking a few days afterward. Also shortly afterward braless (or wearing a very thin bra at best) in a tight zipped up jacket. Leading some to speculate - how could she have a big pad in the tight white jeans (locchia - which most have for several weeks whether vag birth or C-section) and how could she not be wearing a bra, even w/out bf-ing - you have leaky boobs for a while... Plus "insiders" have said it's not medically possible she was pregnant - and that's why she and Tom adopted way back when. There were also a number of pics of her looking not pregnant at all while pregnant with Sunday Rose (of course some women carry very small the whole time - but it added grist to the gossip mill.)
I have to say - knowing this gossip/speculation - my eyebrows did raise at this latest announcement of a new baby with a gestational carrier, and I wondered if she just didn't feel like going through the motions of faking another pregnancy... Now - that is just total gossip and speculation and I am only sharing it as such and it is not nice, I know. But it IS rather juicy, you have to admit... (and the whole magic lake thing (and she did apparently say that, I read the interview at the time and just thought puh-leeze lady.) I mean seriously? For pete's sake.)

this. I really have very little respect for her.

I won't say I agree with LucyP completely but I have wondered myself. There were many magazines showing her 7m pregnant and looking like 2m. or whatever. Lots of magazine speculation and I really didn't think her bump looked real.
I am sure it helped fuel the Australian tourism about the magical lake. Yup, at the time she did say that and a few others also got pregnant spontaneously who also worked on that movie in Australia. They all said it helped them too. I really wonder.
I don't think she was trying not to ruin her body, but I do believe she has issues on carrying a baby.
I am happy for them- families are built in all different ways- but the celeb gossip side to me agrees with LucyP- I totally think her first pg was faked- I had also read that it was thought that her sister carried Sunday- and now the news about the GC- hmm- interesting.
Sunday Rose was allegedly born at the same hospital I delivered (which is not the hospital at which this new LO was born) and, while of course he couldn't come right out and say it, somehow my anesthesiologist when I had DS strongly hinted at the fact that he also did Nicole Kidman's epidural. I also have a friend who saw Nicole in her OB's office possibly appearing pregnant before the news broke of her pregnancy. I also have on fairly reliable sources that they used the same fertility center that DH and I used (of course, I realize that doesn't necessarily mean she was pg, just find it interesting).
Anyway, I don't know - I've definitely heard the rumors, too!! But I tend to believe she was pregnant. Or at least I want to believe that she was pregnant. . . because, regardless, she's been through some IF sh!t at some point, and I wish her all the best. From what I've heard she's active with the local chapter of March of Dimes, which also makes me a fan.
eta: Although the crap about swimming in fertility waters did make me want to jump off a high cliff (preferably into said fertility waters, but whatever!)!
I wish them all the best too and they are entitled to privacy (but as celebs - won't get it - part of the deal with the devil, I suppose!)
It is very possible that while she did manage to carry Sunday Rose - it might have been so difficult that this time they opted to use a gc.
All I know is they are vastly wealthy and I'm not - LOLZ!

Of course - Didn't mean to suggest otherwise!
